When playing Slots, the odds are much the same as when playing Roulette. Another common misconception is that if a slot machine just made a large payout, another payout won't occur for quite a while. This is false, because statistically each spin is random and the odds for each spin are identical regardless of what has just occurred. It's impossible to predict what the next spin will be, and a jackpot is equally likely to take place on the next spin after a big jackpot as it is after 1,000 dry spins. The majority of slot machines give the player an incentive to play with more than just a single coin. If you don't like to spend so much money at once, you ought to move to a machine that takes coins of a lower value so that you can use the maximum number of coins, so rather than playing for $1 at a $1 machine, play for $4 in a 25-cent machine.
