Playing slots in a casino has its charm that could not be beaten by the online version of the game, but anyway playing on the computer at home is so easy to do! I guess we are all lazy now.

Video Slots

History

The history of Video Slots began with the invention of the first slot machine in 1897, when a San Francisco fireman named Charles August Fey built a mechanical slot machine which he called the Liberty Bell. There were three reels, and each had four symbols. It was pretty easy to beat the game, as the reels were controlled by the handle, so the jackpot was only half a dollar. Its popularity grewm and soon more companies had begun making mechanical slot machines which were identical to the Liberty Bell machines, though they employed different symbols. There was a huge demand for new games, which drove the fledgling industry through a period of strong growth. In the beginning of the 20th Century, there were many anti-gambling campaigners who took it upon themselves to have the games banned. These bans began in San Francisco, then Nevada, until slot machines were eventually banned in the entire state of California. Eventually, the ill-conceived bans were lifted and today the game can even be found in places of worship, and some researchers have claimed to have cured various chemical dependencies through gambling's therapeutic properties.
