I've given the strategy that you have written about a try, and it does seem to have improved my game somewhat. However, as concerns bankroll management, I do seem to need some extra pointers. How exactly does one go about replenishing ones gambling funds? Many thanks in advance.
I never thought that there was a strategy for winning at poker. I dont know, I just thought that you got dealt some cards and bet some money, but now I see that there's a lot more to it. And not only that, I'm actually starting to make a little money back.
I try to play online Texas Holdem according to most of the strategies that are described here and I am becoming quite good at the game.
My family plays online Texas Holdem a lot and we change the strategies to see which one will give most results. We go with small bets for now as we do not risk a lot of money.

The key to a winning strategy in Texas Hold'em is to have a good understanding of the mechanics of the game. The three most important features are, first of all, The Flop. After the first round of betting is finished, three cards are placed face-up in the table's center, where they serve as community cards for the hand. Another round of betting takes place, and then a fourth card is exposed and added to the community cards. This is the Turn, after which betting occurs once again, but the minimum bet has doubled. Finally there's the fifth card, the River. Following the River and the subsequent round of betting, the players remaining form their best hand of 5 cards with their 2 own cards plus 3 cards from the community pile. If you frequently play all the way to the Showdown only to eventually lose, you have to learn to play a tighter game. What this means is that you need to develop the skills necessary to differentiate a good hand from a losing one. Basically, you have to play a lot less hands. A picky player is a clever player.
If you want to win at Texas Hold'em, you have to know when to Fold and when to Hold. In Poker, you don't have any influence over which cards you're dealt. What you can influence is the manner in which those cards are used. Aces, 10s and face-cards are High Cards, 6 through 9 cards are Medium Cards, and the cards from 2 through 6 are Low Cards. Now, a player wants to find at least a pair of high cards, or any two high cards that share a suit. Any of these and the player has got himself a high hand. If the player has instead a high card and an Ace of different suits, or a medium card and an Ace that shares a suit, he has a medium hand. Medium hands also include sequential cards that share the same suits. If he has sequential low cards of unmatched suits, or low pairs, he has a low hand. A player dealt a hand lower than those listed should immediately fold. A player with a high hand should bet aggressively to push as many players as possible to drop out before the flop. A player with a medium hand is advised to remain in for the flop. A player with a low hand ought to remain for the flop. If, however, after the flop the player is without 3 of a kind or better, the player should fold. From there, the rest of the game is in your hands. Good luck!
