You guys crack me up. Seriously. The history of Texas Holdem? The game was invented like yesterday, hello? Still your article was pretty informative. And I guess it served its purpose, because here I am, spending my hard-earned money in this most excellent online game. This playing for cash online is all right, when you win, which Im this close to doing.
I was searching for the rules because my cousin wanted to play. It was really a lucky coincidence that the rules happened to be on a site where we could actually play online. My cousin and I play like we are just one player, because hes better at math than me. Also he has a job and a credit card. But I got a fast internet connection so that makes us a team. Online internet Texas Holdem is really cool.
Texas Holdem is the game I like most in the online casinos. I was surprised to read about it is long history. But it is good to know it was found appealing by so many people during the years.
Online gambling is great fun! I am reading this about the Texas Holdem history but I cant imagine how hard it should have been for these people to play, and how easy is now for us you only have to switch your computer and load the game on your favorite online casino.

No one is quite sure where Texas Hold'em originated from, nor how it got its name. The only thing that people are sure of is that it came from Texas. The story goes that in the beginning of the 1900s, an early version of the game was being played in the town of Robstown, Texas. The game arrived in Dallas in 1925. A couple of Texan card players then went and introduced the game to some casinos in Las Vegas. These Texan gentlemen included such Poker legends as Doyle Brunson, Crandell Addington and Amarillo Slim. Crandell Addington went on to write about Texas Hold'em for Doyle Brunson's classic Poker text Super System 2. The game continued to grow in popularity until it became a favorite for tournament play. Hold'em was soon played as the main event in poker tournaments, which led to certain modifications being made to the game, such as increasing antes and blinds in order to reduce the amount of time it took for a player to win. Eight players participated in the 1972 World Series of Poker tournament; by 2002, the number had grown to 800. Over the past few years, televised Poker tournaments have grown in popularity, and the popularity of Texas Hold'em has grown right along with it. No one is quite sure why Texas Hold 'em is called what it is. Life Magazine published an article in the 60's on Poker variations, and there was one called Hold Me Darling Poker. It has been suggested that this game became, over time, Hold Me poker, which finally evolved into today's Hold'em. As we don't have any real evidence, this tale is as good the next.
