  Content of the label: I did not realize roulette is the oldest casino game! This is impressive, to find out that so many people have been enchanted and entertained by roulette over the years! It still has its charm, I must say. I play every week, but go with small bets.

  Michelle Roulette was invented in 1655! Wow, if you go to a casino in Vegas you'll see that it's still a very entertaining game that attracts a lot of gamblers. I play a lot of the free roulette games, but when I feel especially lucky I bet serious amounts of money and have won five times and lost two, so it was worth it :)

History

There are those who believe that Roulette was invented by French scientist Blaise Pascal. Some suggest he did so due to his love of perpetual-motion, while others maintain that he did so to test some of his ideas concerning the science of probability. Others believe that the game was invented by the Chinese, and that Dominican monks brought the game with them when they returned to France. Finally, reputable sources maintain that the game was a variation of earlier games known as portique and hoca. Roulette was first mentioned by its present name in Bordeaux in the year 1716. The game underwent certain changes in form until the board and wheel, with its alternating colors and odd/even numbers, reached its present form around 1790.
