  I adore bluffing. it is actually the reason I play the game because I try to test how blind the other players can be and how powerful my actress skills are. I also try to guess the cards of the others by their body language and it gives good results. I play online poker almost every day and I find it very interesting.

For instance, if a player was dealt a straight flush, he'd see that the odds of someone having a stronger hand are 649,740 to 1, so clearly he would be doing the right thing if he made a large bet. Basically, a player has to realize what makes a good hand good, a fair hand fair, and a bad hand useless if he wants to win at poker. The most important part of playing poker like a pro is to stay in a hand only when you probably have the strongest hand, or better odds of drawing a winning hand. For example: Suppose the pot contains three chips and the player needs to add a chip if he's to stay in, so the pot offers 3-to-1 odds. The player is trying to fill an inside straight with the draw of a single card, the odds of which are nearly 10 to 1, so the pot gives worse odds than the odds of drawing the needed cards, so it would be a good idea for him to fold. This is the key to winning at poker over the long haul. There's also the social engineering aspect of play. One must study the body language of the other players, searching for "tells", which are signs as to whether a player is bluffing or has an unbeatable hand, otherwise known as the "nuts." Such tells include facial expressions, hand movements, general behavior and what a man says, as well as how he says it. Generally, novice players behave in a manner contrary to the worth of the hand they're holding. So they act brave when they're bluffing, and act timid or perhaps suddenly stop talking when holding a powerful hand, praying that the other players will raise or at least call them.
