The Pai Gow poker rules are quite interesting, especially the fact that the player has to manage with two hands rather than one. And the combinations that win are different from the other games.
I do not thing the rules of Pai Gow poker are hard to be learnt. On the contrary, they are logical, easy to understand and follow.

The extra card is a Joker, and serves as a wild card. However, in this game the Joker can only be made an Ace or used to complete combinations: a Flush, a Straight, or a Straight Flush. There's one further difference, which concerns the values of straights. In Pai Gow Poker, Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10 is the highest straight, just as in traditional Poker. However, Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5 is the second-highest possible straight in Pai Gow Poker, while in traditional Poker it would be the lowest. One more very important rule to keep in mind is that when the dealer's and player's hands are tied, the dealer is the winner. This is just another way the house extends its edge in this game.
