I totally agree that it is very difficult to beat the other players at Omaha Hi Lo. You have to be very careful with the bets and the raises. As a rule, I watch my opponents closely, and this pays off.

Tips

Which is to say, when two players have identical nut lows and one of them is going for a high hand as well, it may turn out that the player going for the low and the high will contribute 1/3 to the pot, but only get 1/4 in return. It's better to check than to bet and raise. Raising in this game only makes sense when there are more than two other players holding high hands and losing low hands. Be careful of uniform flops, such as 8,7,6 which can become straights very easily, and you'll find that your good hand just got beat. You should also keep an eye out for Suited Flops, which is when all three cards share the same suit, since these can easily be made into a flush.
