Omaha Hi Lo is not like the casino games that totally rely on luck. It goes with some nice strategies which if learned and practiced will surely make a good profit to the player. My strategy is to keep in mind that this is a split pot game and that the other players have fairly good chances to have winning hands. It definitely works for me!

The key to winning any significant amount in Omaha Hi-Lo is that the player must scoop the pot. If, after the Flop, you don't have an unbeatable high hand and it looks like you'll end up splitting the pot with your low hand, or if you're going for the low hand and you don't really a good high hand, you should fold immediately. When you're playing Omaha, you shouldn't try to make any early raises. Players in this game are difficult to scare away, and making raises early is dangerous unless you're certain that you have an unbeatable hand. Don't bet too much on nut lows such as A,2 or A,3 or 2,3. It frequently turns out that another player has these same lows. It may result in you getting "quartered".
