Omaha Hi Lo is not new to me, I have been trying the game for many years, but it's always good to go through the rules again, as there are always many small tips to learn and work on.

Omaha Hi Lo

Rules

Low hands When playing Omaha Hi/Lo, it's possible to split the pot if there's a low hand that fulfills certain requirements. For a hand to qualify as a low hand, it must contain 5 unpaired cards, none of which have a value greater than 8. Straights and flushes don't affect the low value, also an Ace is counted as 1 in a low hand. The hand Ace, 2, 3, 4 and 5 is the best possible low hand. This hand is known as a Bicycle. A player can have both the winning high hand and the winning low hand simultaneously. Consider the hand Ace, 2, 3, 5 and 6, all of diamonds. He has both a low hand of Ace through 6 and a high hand with a diamond flush. Players may use different cards from their hand to make the low hand than they use to make the high. When a player holds both the best low and high hands, he gets the whole pot, and this is known as "scooping" the pot.
