Craps is an easy game, only luck is needed and some knowledge of the terms. The terminology of Craps is easy to learn, so I do not think this will be a problem for the average player.

History

Craps comes from a very old game known as Hazard, whose origins are far from clear. There are scholars who state that the name 'Hazard' comes from Arabic, in which the word 'azzah' means 'the dice.' There's another tradition which holds that the game was invented during the Crusades by Sir William of Tyre. Supposedly, the Crusaders played the game while besieging a castle called Hazarth in 1125. While we may never know for sure who actually invented it, one thing is certain, the English loved the game Hazard. It was mentioned by Chaucer quite often in the Canterbury Tales. In England during the 17th Century, numerous noblemen and members of the upper class lost fortunes while playing Hazard in lavish gambling houses. Soon the French took up the game as well. There are those who suggest that the French were the ones who transported the game to the New World, while others maintain that it was the British who did so.
