Caribbean Stud strategy is not as difficult as it might seem at first. There are only a couple of things that a player needs to decide, namely the size of his bets, if he should fold or not, and if he should try for the progressive jackpot or not. The biggest difference between Caribbean Stud Poker and traditional Poker is that in Caribbean Stud the players play against the dealer and not each other. To win, one needs to receive a five-card hand that's better than the dealer's. There are two general guidelines for play that serve as a basic strategy. If you're dealt a pair or better, you should always raise. If you're dealt anything weaker than what the dealer needs to open, which is a King or an Ace, then you should fold immediately.
