  I play the 7 card poker online version and I thing the trick is to know when to call the bet, when to raise it and when to fold. When my first four cards are not good, I simply fold. Guys, follow this tip and you wont regret it. I tell you all this from bad experience.

  I agree with those who say the most difficult thing is to know when to fold. And maybe watching the opponents and their reactions isn't very easy with online games of 7 card stud poker. Bluffing over the internet is easier though, so give it a try.

Tips

If you begin the hand with a High Pair, you should try to push out as many players as possible with fast play. When you have draw hands such as three cards of a flush or a straight, you should slow down the play in order to retain as many players as possible so as to increase the size of the pot. With three of a kind, you should slow play up to the fifth card. You don't want to scare away other players when you have a hand this powerful. Look for reasons to fold your beginning hands, as well as hands that you have been building. You should keep an eye out for one dead card of a denomination which you require, or for a couple of cards that share the same suit of the flush you're trying to draw. Check that one of your opponents isn't forming too powerful a hand.
