I've played 7 card stud poker online for two weeks now, so I'm still not confident with the rules of the game. I'm very happy that I can find some info here and put it into practice later. I'm especially interested in the betting arrangements, and will focus on that.

The explanation of the rules helped me a lot to get an idea of how 7 card stud poker works. I think I should master some of the strategies and tips as well, and then feel free to put down some real bets. My greatest fear is that I'll get carried away and not stop betting when I should. mark

Rules

The player with the best cards showing acts first. The dealer deals the seventh and last card face-down to each player. The player with the best cards exposed goes first. Once the last round of betting comes to a close, the last person to bet or to raise reveals his cards. The player holding the best five-card hand is the winner of the pot. After the pot is awarded, a new round of 7 Card Stud can begin.
