I'm new here, and this info is very useful for me. I did try several free games online, but I totally failed. I guess I have to become familiar with the rules here and try again. Everybody says its easy.
Hi there! I've been playing poker a lot, but now I'm trying to focus on the 7 card poker variant. I'll try tonight with these rules published here and will tell you later how it was. One tip -- stop when you think you should in order to stay out of trouble.

Prior to the start of the round, each player adds an ante to the pot. The dealer than deals each player 2 cards face-down and 1 face-up. Whichever player has the lowest face-up card is known as the "bring-in" and is required to make a wager half the size of the game's minimum bet. When there is a tie for the bring-in, it's decided by the suits. The suits are ordered clubs, diamonds, hearts and spades. The dealer deals each player a face-up card, known as the "Fourth Street". The player with the cards having the highest value acts first. He has the choice of either betting or checking. With pairs or better, the bet can be big, which is $2 in a $1/$2 game. The dealer deals another face-up card, which is known as the "Fifth Street". Again, the player with the best cards showing is the first to act. Beginning with the Fifth Street, all of the remaining bets will be in increments of the big bet, which is $2 in a $1/$2 game. The dealer deals another card face-up, which is known as the "Sixth Street".
